What is Inclusive Design?
Inclusive design is a methodology that aims to ensure that products are accessible to the widest possible audience whatever their age or ability. By using an inclusive approach from the first stages of the design process, consumers previously ignored by mainstream design no longer feel excluded from using products and services.

This is a mutually beneficial process allowing manufacturers to maximize their available market as well as improving the lives of consumers. By utilizing these principles it also improves products making them easier to use and therefore enhancing their appeal to all of society.

Changing demorgraphics, as well as current and future legislation, all mean that businesses must be forward thinking and ensure that their products do not exclude potentially valuable customers. Variant Design's unique experience of the issues affecting those with limited physical ability allows us to bring you maximum benefit from inclusive design.
